Welcome to Vidari ("we," "us," or "our"), operated by Liquid Studio. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our website (vida.app), mobile application, and related creator tools and viewer link-resolution services (collectively, the "Service").

By using Vidari, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you register for a Vidari creator account, we collect:

  • Name and email address
  • Encrypted password
  • Role (creator or viewer)

1.2 Social Account Data (via Third-Party APIs)

When you connect a social media account through our OAuth integration, we receive and store a limited set of data from each platform as described below.

Instagram (Meta)

We use the Instagram API with Instagram Login (provided by Meta Platforms, Inc.) to allow creators to connect their Instagram Business or Creator accounts. Data retrieved from Instagram:

  • Instagram user ID (user_id)
  • Instagram username
  • Profile picture URL
  • OAuth access token (stored encrypted)

Our use of this data is governed by Meta's Platform Terms and the Meta Platform Policy.

TikTok

We use the TikTok Login Kit (provided by TikTok Pte. Ltd.) to allow creators to connect their TikTok accounts. Data retrieved from TikTok:

  • TikTok open ID (open_id)
  • Display name
  • Avatar URL
  • OAuth access token (stored encrypted)

Our use of this data is governed by the TikTok Developer Terms of Service.

YouTube (Google)

Our Service uses YouTube API Services (provided by Google LLC) to allow creators to connect their YouTube channels. By connecting your YouTube account, you are also agreeing to be bound by Google's Privacy Policy.

Data retrieved from YouTube / Google:

  • YouTube channel ID
  • Channel title (display name)
  • Channel thumbnail / avatar URL
  • OAuth access token and refresh token (stored encrypted)

You can revoke Vidari's access to your Google / YouTube account at any time by visiting https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking access there will immediately prevent Vidari from using your YouTube data. You can also disconnect the account directly from within the Vidari app.

We access only the youtube.readonly scope, which allows us to identify your channel and display it in your creator profile. We do not upload videos, manage playlists, or modify your YouTube account in any way.

1.3 Automatically Collected Information

When you visit our website, we automatically collect:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Pages visited and time spent
  • Referring URL
  • Device identifiers (mobile app only)

1.4 Usage and Analytics Data

We collect aggregated, anonymised analytics on how creators and viewers use the Service (e.g., link click counts, post resolution events). This data does not identify you personally.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your creator account
  • Display and verify connected social accounts in your creator profile
  • Resolve shared posts to their configured destination URLs
  • Process subscription and billing (where applicable)
  • Send transactional emails (account creation, password reset, connection alerts)
  • Respond to support requests and abuse or compliance reports
  • Improve and maintain the reliability of the Service
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data to serve third-party advertising.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: Trusted sub-processors who help us operate Vidari (cloud hosting, database infrastructure, transactional email, error monitoring, analytics). These parties are contractually bound to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us.
  • Legal requirements: When required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Vidari, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice on our website before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
  • With your consent: We may share your information for any other purpose with your explicit consent.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers located within the European Union / United States (depending on the deployment region). We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures, including encryption at rest and in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews.

OAuth tokens obtained from third-party platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) are stored encrypted and are never exposed in plaintext through our APIs.

No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, legal disputes).

Social account credentials (OAuth tokens) are deleted immediately when you disconnect the relevant platform account from within the Vidari app.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure ("right to be forgotten"): Request deletion of your personal data.
  • Restriction: Request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.
  • Portability: Receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
  • Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing.
  • Withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

If you are located in the EU/EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Disconnecting Social Accounts & Deleting Platform Data

You can disconnect any linked social account at any time from within the Vidari app. Upon disconnection, we permanently delete all tokens and derived profile data associated with that platform account.

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use essential cookies required for the Service to function (session management, CSRF protection). We may also use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the website. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may impair Service functionality.

We do not use cookies to serve behavioural or third-party advertising.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU/EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to ensure your data receives an adequate level of protection.

11. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies. Connecting a social account is subject to that platform's terms and privacy policy in addition to ours.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the revised policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top. For significant changes, we will send an email notification to registered users. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
